Emily focuses her practice on assisting in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications and in drafting opinions on the patentability of inventions – primarily in the mechanical arts. In addition, she conducts research on a wide range of patent and trademark issues and assists in drafting opinions regarding infringement and validity.

During law school, she served as the Vice President of the Intellectual Property and Technology Law Association. Emily began as a law clerk at Pearne & Gordon while attending law school. She is a member of the Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, and the Akron Bar Association.
