Howard’s experience encompasses all phases of intellectual property law, involving patents, trademarks, unfair competition, and copyrights, and including the litigation of patents, preparation and prosecution of patent applications, rendering validity and infringement opinions, negotiating and preparing license agreements, and business counseling. His practice includes representation of clients in all phases of the mechanical arts, including machine design, hydraulics, power systems, and electronic controls.
Prior work experience included associate legal work at the predecessor law firm of McNenny, Farrington, Pearne & Gordon, and earlier employment as a mechanical engineer doing research and development work on printing presses, optical systems, photo duplicators, material handling systems, credit card embossing systems, which resulted in patented processes.
Howard is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association
