Deborah has extensive experience with preparing and prosecuting patent, trademark, and copyright applications and advising clients regarding the same. The areas of her expertise include computer science, light electrical (semiconductor fabrication), chemical, biomechanical, and pharmaceutical arts. She counsels clients on various intellectual property matters and has handled various disputes including trademark oppositions, trademark and trade dress infringement, and copyright disputes.
Additionally, her practice involves rendering infringement, patentability, and validity opinions in the above technologies. In particular, she provides pre-ANDA clearances for FDA submission as well as freedom-to-operate opinions. Drafting and negotiating various agreements including licensing and non-disclosure agreements are also a part of her practice.
Deborah is currently a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the International Trademark Association, the Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association, and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association.
